February 20, 2003 – Clear Channel Entertainment, (CCE) and Sleep Train Mattress Centers have joined together to usher in a new season of entertainment in Northern California. The companies today announce that the Auto West Amphitheatre in Marysville, California (formerly Sacramento Valley Amphitheatre) has been newly named The Sleep Train Amphitheatre.

“Teaming with Clear Channel entertainment and this venue is a natural for us,” said Dale Carlsen, founder and president, Sleep Train Mattress Centers. “We believe that they share our belief in providing top notch quality and customer service. Together we can enhance people’s entertainment experience locally, while benefiting the community.”

“We wanted a sponsor that was a local business, had a commitment to the community, and could enrich the overall experience of the concert patron,” said David Mayeri, COO of Music Western Region, Clear Channel Entertainment. “Sleep Train’s association with our venue will result in special savings and added value for our patrons, access to exciting ticket promotions and more.”

The newly named Sleep Train Amphitheatre is a $25 million state-of-the-art concert facility and will open its doors to a diverse schedule of touring artists in May of 2003.
