Minutes: 

Strawberry Valley Draft Vision Statement

Strawberry Valley is a rustic community that provides jobs for its residents, good roads, access to stocked lakes and reservoirs, a school for its children, a community center, a location with opportunities for overnight tourists that preserves its historic identity.

Another possible draft vision statement 

Strawberry Valley is a beautiful, rustic community with a strong sense of community and history, jobs for its residents, ample recreation opportunity, plenty of privacy, and it offers a pleasant experience to visitors. 

Strengths:

Sense of intact community (almost like a family)

Friendly people

Family oriented

Clean air and water

Location in the Sierras

Low crime rate

Plenty of recreation (hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, etc.)

Access to National forest land

Lakes and open space, meadows

Recreational mining

Restaurant, store, and post office

US Forest Service station 

Weaknesses

No signs demarcating town

Speed limit is too high in town

Limited access in Winter

Access to National Forest land is limited

Schools are far away

No rest stop for travelers

No community center

No gas station

Lack of employment opportunities

No cell phone service

None of the buildings have historic designation

Lack of firehouse

Poor roads
