Minutes: The minutes for the January 8, 2000 meeting and February meeting will be posted once they have been approved as to form by the Community Action Committee at the Monday, February 5, 2001 meeting. On
December 7, 2000 the Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation (YSEDC)
and Yuba County held a meeting for the community of Dobbins/Oregon House.
The purpose of the meeting was to seat a planning committee that
would create a Community Action Plan.
YSEDC hired a professional facilitator, Marie Griffith, to lead the
meeting, which was held at the Lake Francis Resort in Dobbins, California.
During
the meeting the committee approved seven rules of conduct: 1)
Committee will only discuss agenda items. 2)
Committee follows informal version of Robert’s
Rules of
Order. 3)
Committee will establish credentials for voting members. 4)
No one will use the committee for their own personal agenda. 5)
Committee will meet at least once a month. 6)
Committee members will show respect towards each other. 7)
Committee approves all meeting minutes and media
releases. After
approving these rules, the committee voted to add three members.
As it now stands, the committee is composed of: Jim

Young The committee then elected two co-chairs. They are Jim Ackles and Douglas Binderup. The co-chairs directed the committee’s staff to write-up notes from the meeting and send them to all committee members. Further, the co-chairs directed the committee’s staff to take the meeting minutes at all future meetings. If
