The meeting was called to order by James Connell of YSEDC. Mr.
Connell began the meeting by thanking the attendees for braving the
driving rainstorm to attend the meeting.
He then handed out a list of strengths, weaknesses and goals that
Brownsville/Challenge residents had developed at a previous meeting, and
asked if the attendees had any changes.
On the list of strengths, the attendees added “the theater
group”, “the playground and other amenities in the park”, and
subtracted “good communication.”
On the list of weaknesses, the attendees added “poor
communications,” no pharmacy/laundromat,” and “lack of followers,”
and subtracted “lack of leadership.”
